This year, starting in the summer, I decided to give podcasts a break and shift to Audio Books. I may keep that up for 2026, we’ll see. Books now has the most minutes consumed in my data tables.
As usual, I don’t rank anything. I give a 1 – 10 star rating when I’m logging. You might be able to find them if you dig deep into the visualization drill-downs, but they aren’t that interesting or consistent.
Music
One Live Show – Mitski – with my daughter.
My listening apps are spread across multiple platforms: YouTube for DJ sets (primarily while writing), Downcast for podcasts (though I gave them up in 2025), and a mix of Apple Music and Spotify for general listening. Audible and Libby for Audio Books. Pandora remains unmatched for algorithmic radio, while SomaFM.com hosts my favorite internet stations. This makes my year-end music data/wrap incomplete and impractical. But here’s my Spotify top 100 anyway.
As of December 2025 the family made a decision to delete Spotify and discontinue our subscription due to their corporate policies of advertising for ICE and the CEO’s investments in military suppliers. So 2025 will be the last with Spotify information.
